Per Pixel Painting saves you valuable time when painting low poly game assets. It allows you to create normal maps in real-time directly on your mesh. No need to create a high poly version at all!
PTEX technology is a new “no-UVs” required painting method. You can paint extremely high level details in areas you specify with local resolution. UVs are generated on a per poly basis (dependent on local resolution), and, when your texture work is done will export a single file for use in a PTEX compliant render engine. You can also bake your PTEX created textures to objects with existing UV maps for use in render engines that do not support PTEX.
MicroVertex Paint sculpt details with high poly meshes. This method is similar to what you find in other polygonal sculpting applications, however, the painting tools are the same as Per Pixel mode in that it allows you to paint directly on the mesh but not needing to have a high resolution mesh for those painted details to show up. The color and specular channels are passed on to the texture map directly.
Retopologize with these tools you place polygons, edges and vertices to quickly and easily specify edge flow where you need it. You can sub-divide polygons en masse, create retopology groups (layers) for more advanced techniques or simply to hide part of the retopology mesh to get it out of your way.
Auto-Retopology (AUTOPO) with user defined guides for accurate edge loops and density painting. Create new topology from scratch or adjust existing retopology meshes with the most powerful set of manual retopology tools in the industry. By combining the Auto and Manual retopology tools you can create the mesh you need. The Auto Retopology is fantastic for organic creations.
UV-Mapping has never been so easy! You can create or edit existing UV sets with an intuitive and flexible set of tools. The recommended program activation procedure:
- Download and install the demo version of 3D-Coat
- Choose the version to purchase and render the payment accordingly. Be certain to select your OS from the drop down list and to correctly type in your email address (if your email address is incorrect you will not receive your Serial Number!)
- The Serial Number will be sent to your e-mail once order processing is complete. This process usually takes less than 24 hours, but can take up to 72 hours maximum
A Serial Number is bound to a single user. Nobody else can use the Software on your computers. If you are a private individual, you may install and use the Software maximum on three computers — on one office computer and on two your personal home computers, provided that you do not use the Software simultaneously on more than one computer.
Sometimes the Software will connect to the Pilgway’s web-based server to check simultaneous use of the software on a computer. No private information will be transferred, only the serial number for authentication. Pilgway’s web-based server will prohibit the work of the Software in case several computers simultaneously use the Software with one serial number. In case of repeated simultaneous use of the same serial number on several computers the serial number and the normal work of the Software will be permanently blocked.
The same serial number authentication will be made between the computers connected into a local area network.
